Laura help me I'm laughing thinking of 13 year old Jemma like "fiddlesticks" and then clapping her hand over her mouth and then going to the academy at 18 and Fitz is like "fucking shiteballs" and she's like ????????? This is nothing I was ever trained for.

Oh man, the first weeks are the funniest because she literally gasps anytime he swears. Like, actually gasps. And he swears a lot. So about half of the time they spend together at the beginning consists of Fitz swearing and Jemma gasping in response.

Then, she starts getting used to it, so she stops gasping whenever Fitz swears and just wrinkles her nose instead. Then, she just sighs. And about three months or so after they met, she doesn’t even notice anymore.

The real fun starts that time she drops a beaker and says “SHIT” super loud and Fitz is the one who gasps.
