leo fitz is in love with jemma simmons and while he doesn’t think the feelings are reciprocated, i think we all know they are.

think about this: fitzsimmons being best friends in school. leo follows jemma everywhere, of course, because she’s the outgoing one and he always seems to be agreeing with her silly little plans before he’s even considered them because jemma said so. leo realizing, sometime in their friendship, after all they’ve been through, that he’s in love with jemma. and he doesn’t think she feels the same because he’s just fitz and no one really notices him unless he’s being one half of fitzsimmons and not just leo. he doesn’t think she feels the same because who would ever love leo, who would pick him over all the other guys in the world?? not jemma. at least, that’s what leo thinks. she’s been beside him the whole damn time, and he thinks that’s too boring for her. he thinks it’s not good enough. but he doesn’t know that being just leo is exactly what she’s looking for, that being just leo is exactly what she wants, and needs, and loves about him.
